Born in Fontana, Ca and raised in Corona, CA music has been a part of Hebie’s life as much as the Inland Empire. The son of a saxophone player, he would always tag along to his dad’s rehearsals and performances when allowed.

Hebie picked up the drumsticks at age 10 and joined his first band at age 13, playing hard rock in the garage with his buddies. Between the ages of 15-18, Hebie as very involved in the church and would play on Sundays alongside his father in the church orchestra. At age 19, Hebie joined a southern rock/country band. He began gigging regularly and experiencing what it was like to be a “working” musician. Up until this point he was only drumming, when the band finally talked him into giving singing a try. He sang once and that is all it took. He’s been drumming and singing ever since.

When Hebie turned 21 he decided to serve his country by joining the United States Marine Corps. While stationed in North Carolina he joined a successful country band and would play up and down the Carolina coast on the weekends. After his tour of duty Hebie decided to head to Nashville and join up with the former lead singer of his band in North Carolina. He spent 2 years in the Country Music Capitol, recording and playing in small honky tonks on music row, most of the time just for tips.

When He returned home and started his own band One Eyed Jack, once again, teaming up with his dad on saxophone. They had a successful run for many years until his father’s passing in 2006. Keeping the music alive in his heart and soul, Hebie has played with several bands since then including: Neverbroken, American Standard, Steve Riddle Band, Two Mexicans and SWG, and most recently Blue Haze and BB Wolf. His desire and ability to entertain has given him the opportunity to come out from behind the drums and perform as a lead vocalist, something that Hebie never would have dreamed of.

He has been fortunate enough to perform in Texas, Colorado, North Carolina, New Mexico, Oregon, and his home state of California.

Hebie has also had the honor and privilege to open for such national acts like: Latin Legends Tierra, Malo and Lil Willie G of Thee Midniters; country music greats Diamond Rio and Mark Wills; and blues/rock superstars Gary Hoey and Lita Ford.

He has performed at several events for Veterans and for 9 years straight at the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life- two causes that are very dear to his heart. In addition, he has performed at many fairs and festivals including the Los Angeles County Fair and the California Mid-State Fair.

Singing the blues has always been a passion for Hebie and he hopes that you will appreciate his gift as he shares it with you!
